Congratulations to the CU Men’s lacrosse team for winning the 2014 MCLA
National Championship! The Buffs closed things out in dramatic fashion last
Saturday by defeating the #1 ranked, undefeated ASU Sun Devils 13-12.
Making things even more special is the fact that this is the first time in
school history that the Buffs will be bringing the National Championship trophy
back home to Boulder.
The Next Level Staff could not be more proud of this special group of
young men. We can say with the utmost confidence that no team in
the MCLA outworked us this year. From the first day of team workouts
in the fall, this entire group bought in and committed to every aspect
of our program. This speaks volumes about the character of this team
and their coaches.
A special thanks to seniors Jack Cranston, Tyler Dougherty, Conor Byrnes,
Greg Kelsic, Sean Crane, Hayden McClain, Riley Seidel, Christian Wilson,
and Mitch Fenton. We could not have had a better group of leaders to
take this program to where it is today. The legacy you have built here will be
felt for years to come.
