Hockey Performance Training

Hockey is a growing sport in Colorado that requires a unique set of physical skills to ensure optimal performance. The staff at Next Level Performance has spent a considerable amount of time and research in developing systems that maximize these physical qualities for serious high school, club, collegiate, and professional athletes. All sessions are highly individualized to meet the specific needs of each client, and are designed and implemented by some of the top speed and strength coaches in the state.

What you can expect from the Next Level Hockey Training Systems

  • Increased on-ice speed and acceleration
  • Higher velocity on shots
  • Dramatically improved strength and explosive power
  • Improved body composition (increased lean body mass, decreased body fat)
  • Learn how to eat for performance, health, and recovery
  • Decrease risk of injury

The Next Level Hockey training program is typically performed in the off-season with multiple start dates to meet the needs of the high school, collegiate, and professional athletes. All programs are specifically designed to accommodate the individual goals and physical requirements of each athlete. Participants in our program average 4 training days per week that encompass all aspects that factor into becoming a superior athlete. These include speed, strength, power, agility, mobility, nutrition, and recovery.

Athletes participating in our off-season hockey program consistently move up the ranks and play at a higher level of competition year after year. Whether it’s
high school to Juniors, Juniors to college, or college to professional. Every
facet of our training system is designed to make you a stronger, faster, and more explosive hockey player. Listed Below are some of the average
improvements of a first year hockey player on our program.  In a game as fast as hockey, these numbers could be a career changer!

Next Level Training helped me raise my game from college athlete to professional hockey player. Brian Powers provided me with sport and position specific training to raise my game to the next level. He tailors his workouts to fit the athlete’s needs and goals of becoming a superior athlete. Brian also shows interest in all of his athletes; through constant communication and encouragement, I was able to make great leaps in the weight room and on the ice. His expertise in weight training, dry-land training and dietary needs gave me the extra edge that I needed to make the jump from collegiate to professional hockey. Brian Powers helped take me to the next level and he can do the same for any athlete that walks through his doors.”

“I am going on my sixth year working at Next Level and I could not be happier with the results I continue to see. The environment provides opportunities that no other gym can. It is a personal experience that seeks to improve in more areas than just the weight room, which allows you to be a better athlete no matter what your sport, and achieve your goals whatever they might be. For me, every minute spent at Next Level has been fun, and more than beneficial to my performance.”
