Dr. Ryan Dunn heads the Sports Medicine division of Next Level Performance.  Dr. Ryan Dunn D.C. is a chiropractic physician with post-graduate training and certifications into functional rehabilitation, sports performance, acupuncture, nutrition, and soft tissue work.

Whether you are an amateur or a professional athlete, sports medicine is essential to optimize recovery and performance.  The best athletes in the world not only move with precision and ease, but they receive rehabilitative therapies year round to stay injury free and perform their best.  They have the proper mobility and proper stability at each joint for the requirements of their sport.

Dr. Dunn evaluates movement characteristics of our Next Level athletes to determine their weak links.  He uses this information to guide his treatments, optimize athletic performance, and prevent injury.

Adjustments

Evidence based Chiropractic manipulation techniques taught by the Motion Palpation Institute (MPI)

Active Release Technique

Is a clinically proven soft tissue therapy.  Active release is effective in treating injuries, musculoskeletal pain, and headaches.  Active release in known as the Gold Standard in soft tissue.

Titleist Performance Institute (TPI)

Dr. Dunn is a level 3 Titleist Performance Institute Medical Professional.  TPI evaluation and treatment is effective in optimizing movement patterns and mobility to increase performance and decrease risk of injury.

Acupuncture/Dry Needling

Acupuncture is an ancient alternative therapy using thin, solid needles that can be used to help many different conditions.

Lab Work/Analysis

Dr Dunn has the capability of running many functional medicine tests including and not limited to: Food sensitivity/allergy tests, hormonal panels, micronutrient/amino acid profiles, traditional blood work, and many more.

Functional Rehabilitation

Functional Rehabilitation focuses on full body movements and similar movements to our activities of daily living.  Dr. Dunn’s treatment approach is based upon the Prague School of Medicine (Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization), the Motion Palpation Institute, Gary Gray, Selective Functional Movement Assessment, and the Titleist Performance Institute.

McKenzie Therapy

McKenzie therapy is a mechanical diagnosis and therapy founded by Robin McKenzie that helps determine a movement of preference to relieve symptoms and restore function.

Graston Technique

Graston technique involves the use of soft tissue tools for the purpose of restoring proper tissue length and function.

Orthotics

In certain cases, treatment alone may not be enough due to structural problems in the lower body and a custom orthotic may help.  A proper exam is critical to determine whether a patient might be a candidate for orthotics or not. www.MileHighSpineandSport.com
